Finally. Women are feeling heard and believed when they speak out against sexual harassment and intimidation. What do we do, however, in the moment? How can we stop from being victims of harassment in the first place?
I partnered with B'line Fitness to create a self-defense-based empowerment program called ROAR that helps women respond to harassment. Our 2-hour course gives women verbal and physical tools to fight back. This training:
- Creates a "tribe" of women to whom each participant can turn for support;
- Empowers women to speak up if they experience or witness another woman being harassed or intimidated; and
- Provides women with a sense of personal power -- both emotional and physical.
This program is appropriate for corporate teams, women's clubs and organizations, college sororities, and high school girls.
